DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

If I understand this comment accurately, the only reason Mr. St John is against a merger of Hendry-483 and Hendrie-45 is the spelling of the name. It appears that there was a problem with last-name spelling with Jon/John's own mother...or is his father wrong? In any case this hurdle is over three years old. Let's get on with the merge!

Hendrie-45 and Hendry-483 appear to represent the same person because: same details and parents

Hendry-483 and Hendrie-45 are not ready to be merged because: Unless there are records indicating "Hendry" is the LNAB used by the individual, "Hendrie" should be used based on other records.

Hendry-483 and Hendrie-45 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, just a spelling variant

Henry-3299 and Hendry-483 appear to represent the same person because: Same wife, same son. Merge into LNAB Hendry unless PMs indicate otherwise.

Henry-3299 and Henry-3441 appear to represent the same person because: Parents and most other details agree.
