Leo Dean Henion, son to Samuel J. Henion and Jessie Mae Heckathorne, was born on the 3rd April 1930 in Delia, Jackson, Kansas.[1]
Leo married Donna Louise Munn on the 29th January 1960.
Leo passed away on the 22 Jun 2010 in Hale, Iosco, Michigan.[1]

Passed away on June 22, 2010 surrounded by all of his children at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jimmy Kennedy in Hale, MI. Leo was born on April 3, 1930 in Delia, KS, the son of Samuel J. and Jessie Mae (Heckathorne) Henion.
Leo was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Toledo. He worked for Clarage Fan Company until it closed and then worked for Midwest Aluminum until his retirement. Leo enjoyed bowling and he loved fishing.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Donna Henion on February 7, 2004 and three brothers and two sisters. Leo is survived by five children, Becky L. (Jimmy) Kennedy of Hale, MI; Rhonda L. Henion, Susan L. Tremblay, Samuel D. Henion and Deana M.(Jason) Wertz, all of Kalamazoo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Rager of Kalamazoo and Dorothy (Cliff) Peterson of Duluth, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
He fought a long battle with cancer for the past 18 months and was able to spend his last days fishing and enjoying nature while vacationing in Hale, MI. We will miss his charm and his great sense of humor.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 25, 2010 with Barb VanEck officiating at:

Interment of cremains of Leo and his wife, Donna will immediately follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Borgess VNA & Hospice or Heartland Hospice. The family would like to thank River Manor, Kathy, Wendy, and Nancy from Borgess VNA and Tracy and staff from Heartland Hospice for their care and kindness given to Leo during his illness.[2]
