Biography

[John Roush] was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia, 1742, died in Mason County, Virginia, buried in the old cemetery in Point Pleasant. Married Dorothy Henkle. He was the first Sheriff of Mason County, a lay evangelist of the Lutheran Church, assisting the Reverend Paul Henkle, his wife's brother. ^[1]
