Susannah Elizabeth Hensley, daughter of James A. Hensley Jr. and Margaret Jane (Smith or Johnson) Hensley, was born in Dec. 1854 in Texas County, Missouri.[1][2] She appeared on the census of 14 Aug. 1860 in the home of her parents at Carroll, Texas, Missouri.[3]
She married Newton Dye, son of Henry and Sarah (Sapp) Dye, about 1870.[2]
She and Newton appeared on the census of 26 June 1900 at South, Dade, Missouri.[4]
Susannah died on 24 Dec. 1938 at Lockwood, Dade County, Missouri and was buried at Daughtrey Cemetery, South Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri.[1] Her memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[2]

1880 Federal Census lists Newton Dye, age 25, and wife Susanah, age 24, living in Current, Texas County, Missouri. Children listed are James H, age 7, Marian, age 4, David, age 2, and Beckey, age 8/12
1910 Federal Census lists Newton Dye, age 61, and wife Susanna, age 56, living in Richland, Barton County, Missouri
1920 Federal Census lists Newton Dye, age 71, and wife Susanna, age 66, living in Center, Dade County, Missouri. Children listed are Thomas, age 34. Also listed are Frances Dye, daughter-in-law, age 27, Beaula, granddaughter, age 11, Myrtle, granddaughter, age 11, May, granddaughter, age 7, Leona, granddaughter, age 6, and Clifford, grandson, age 7
