Event: McDowell News Bulletin. Obit 20 OCT 1993. Note: Carra Hensley Huffman, 85, of Charlotte died Wednesday October 13, 1993 at her residence. A native of McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary Martha Withrow Hensley, and the wife of Roy Huffman. She was a retired employee of Marion Manufacturing Co. and a member of East Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Harold Huffman and Ray Huffman, both of Atlanta and Bobby Huffman of York, SC; three daughters, Ruby Broderick and Joyce Triplett, both of Charlotte and Wanda Geer of Gaithersburg, MD; on brother Doc Hensley of Kentucky; and two sisters, Jean Barnwell and Geneva Taylor, both of Arden; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.[6]
