Biography

Nancy Duncan Hensley was born on 28 May 1825 in Wayne County, Tennessee, United States, daughter of Lemuel Taylor Hensley (1785–before 1840) and Nancy Duncan (about 1789–about 1826).

Nancy (17) married Andrew Jackson McBride (29) before 1843 in Tennessee. Their son was Abner McBride (1843–1879)

Nancy (28) married Jessie M. Hodges (23) in 1854 in Searcy County. Their children were:

  1. Pernina Elizabeth Hodges (1855–1931)
  2. William Pressley Hodges (1857–1936)
  3. Lemuel Taylor Hodges (1859–1934)[1] [2]

She died on 25 July 1898 in Snowball, Searcy County, Arkansas, United States, aged 73. She was buried in McDaniel Cemetery, Snowball.[3]

After her death, Jesse went to live with their son, Lemuel Taylor Hodges in Oklahoma, where he appeared in the 1910 US Federal Census living at Seminole, Oklahoma, USA.

McBride-1230 and Hensley-2031 appear to represent the same person because: Hensley was LNAB, McBride was first husband's surname. Clear duplicate.

Find a grave has LNAB as Hensley and says her father is Hensley and first husband was McBride.
