Mrs. Jemima Henson Taylor, who died last Wednesday in Beardstown and was buried at Boiling springs cemetery on Friday, had a large number of relatives in this vicinity. She left two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Stewart of Warrensburg and Mrs. Angeline Seitz of Bearsdale, three daughters, one son, thirty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. BORN IN KENTUCKY--Mrs. Taylor was born in Casey county, Kentucky, Feb. 8, 1832 She was 78 years old and 4 months old at the time of her death. She was first married to John Peed in 1850. Three children were born to this union, the husband and two children preceding her in death. The daughter surviving is Mrs. Mary A. McClain. Her second marriage was to John F. Taylor in 1868. Four children were born to them. Two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Briggs and Mrs. Nancy A. Smith, and one son, A. M. Taylor, survive. Mrs. Taylor early in life united with the Church of God at Boiling Springs and remained a member until her death. She was an invalid for twenty-one years, suffering intense pain patiently. For over two months previous to her death she could scarcely raise her head from the pillow. The Decatur Review (Decatur, Illinois), June 15, 1910, pg 4
