Horace was born in 1823. Horace was a Grange member. [1]He passed away in 1911. In 1910 Horace Henty Sr. and his wife Mary A. Henty were living with their son Horace Henty Jr. and family.

Baptism

No. 60 Horace the son of Thomas Henty of Waterman Quarter in the Parish of Headcorn in the County of Kent, laborer, and of Ann his wife, who was the daughter of William and Mary Gower was born on the fourth day of December in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and twenty three. And was solemnly baptized with water, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, on the thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four by me. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Henty of Avon yesterday celebrated their sixty-first anniversary of their marriage, which took place in England. They have lived in Avon since 1872.[4]

Mr. and Mrs. Horace Henty of South Avon celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary Sunday (May 27th). They were born the same year, 1823, in England, lived neighbors and went to school together. In 1853 Mr. Henty became a local preacher in the Methodist Church. [5]

Obituary

The daily news., June 22, 1911, Page 3, Image 3 Horace Henty died yesterday at South Avon, aged 88 years. On May 27th he and Mrs. Henty, who survives him, celebrated the 67th anniversary of their marriage.[6]
