Biography

On 8 Jun 1870, Jacob Frederick Storz was born in Germany [1][2] to Johann Georg Storz and Maria Magdalena, as shown in baptismal documents from Wurttemberg, Deutschland. [3]

Death and Legacy

On 10 Mar 1906, Mrs. Lena M. Storz, died in Sacramento, California, USA. Her death was reported in the Sacramento Union:

Death Came Suddenly: Mrs. Lena M. Storz Found Dead in Bed Yesterday Morning. Mrs. Lena M. Storz, who lived with her son at 2200 Tenth street, was found dead in her bed yesterday morning. Mrs. Storz was alive at midnight Friday night when her son returned from Oak Park. He spoke to her and she answered him. In the morning he got up, cooked his breakfast and then took a cup of coffee in to his mother as usual. He found her dead. Mrs. Storz had been afflicted for a long time with chronic heart disease and had been treated by her family physician, who signed the death certificate, thereby making it unnecessary for Coroner Gormley to hold an inquest on the remains.[4]
