William was born October 29, 1916, in Syracuse, NY. In 1938 Bill met and married a young woman, Virginia K Bunting. During WWII Bill served in the Pacific as a Merchant Marines as the ship's carpenter. Bill was true to his Irish heritage. He never met a stranger and was able to talk himself out of most jams. It is a good bet he knew at least one or more in every bar from Buffalo, NY to Syracuse, NY. On our annual trip to Syracuse at Christmas, there were way too many stops for a quick hello to Tom, Dick, and Harry or whoever. The trips were always too long for my brother and I as we sat in the car and waited. Upstate NY and be very cold in the wintertime. Sometimes my bother and Dad would go hunting in the fall but I do not remember the family ever going on vacations. Both of my Mom & Dad were hard-working people and many time they worked together in the Dry-wall business putting up sheetrock.
He passed away in 2009 in Rochester, NY.
