Isaac was a farmer, and owned $200 in personal property.

On 6 September 1864, he enlisted as a private in company K of the 38th New Jersey Regiment.
On 30 June 1865, he was mustered out with his company.

In 1870, Isaac and Hannah were living in Middle Township, Cape May County, New Jersey, with their children Emma, Thomas, Viola, and George, and with James and Joseph (children from Isaac's marriage to Jemimah).
Isaac was a farmer, and owned $500 in personal property.

He was buried in the First Baptist Cemetery, Cape May Court House, Cape May County, New Jersey.
