Lizzie Heritage was born in Staffordshire, England.

Lizzie Heritage was born in 1895 in Darlaston, Staffordshire, England and baptised on 04 Dec 1895 at St Lawrence, Darlaston near Wednesbury, Stafford. At the time of her baptism, her residence was given as Dilhorne, Staffordshire. She was the daughter of William Heritage and Sophia Flowers. ^[1][2]

By 1901, her mother, Sophia was widowed and head of household. Lizzie (5) was the youngest in a family of five children. ^[4]

In 1911, Lizzie (15) was living with his mother, Sophia (57, a widow) and two siblings, Edwin (26) and Jack (20) at 4 Alfred Street, Darlaston, Staffordshire. ^[5]

Lizzie Heritage would have been 18 at the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, and 23 at the time of it's cessation. Like many other women of her age group, Lizzie never married. She died a spinster age 64 years. Her death was registered in 1960 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, under the forename Elizabeth, although she was actually baptised and birth registered as Lizzie Heritage. ^[6]
