Biography
Georg Michael was born in 1837 in Altdorf. He was the son of Georg Michael Hermann and Anna Catharina Wacker. He migrated to North America in 1854.[1] He passed away after 1904.

This is thought to be the same person as George M Harman who emigrated to the US, married Julia Maier and had four children: Harry, Mary, Christianna and Catharine. Family lore is that this person changed his name from Hermann to Harman once he was in the USA. My father knew his children and said they were related through his grandmother's (Christianna Barbara Hermann) side. George Harman and his family lived in or near Manheim, PA, USA. As of this time I can find no German marriage or death record for Georg Michael Hermann, although I can find such information for his brothers, suggesting that he left Germany.
