Biography
Lorenz was born in 1717. He is son of Johann Herrmann and Barbara Hättich .
He was farmer on Hilpertenhof, Spriegelsbach, Viertäler. [1] He married Fides Hilpert in 1740. [2] They had 13 children.
Between his marriage and his death he and his children lost in the Churchbooks of Neustadt one "r" in the Last Name. That is how all descendants "Hermann" in Viertäler were written in the future.
His wife is noticed as a widow in her death entry in 1791. [3]
Researche Note
Für den 18. Juli 1775 gibt es einen Eintrag im Sterbebuch von Neustadt für einen Lorenz Hilpert aus dem Spriegelsbach. Hier könnte es sich um einen Übertragungsfehler handeln und der Hilpertenbauer Lorenz Hermann gemeint sein. Bisher war kein weiterer Sterbeeintrag von Lorenz Hermann in den Kirchenbüchern von Neustadt zu finden. Ein Lorenz Hilpert zu dem dieses Todesdatum passen könnte, ist bisher ebenfalls nicht bekannt.
