Biography

Robert Heron was born October 10, 1838 in York, Ontario, Canada to Thomas Heron and Sarah Ann Maher.

In 1861, Robert, age 22, lived in Osprey, Grey, Ontario with his father, Thomas, and stepmother, Lavinia. His religion was Wesleyan Methodist. ^[1]

Robert married Mary Jane Maxwell in about 1870 and they had four children: Robert, Charles, Mary and Annie. ^{[2] [3]}

Robert and his family lived in Osprey, Grey East, Ontario. They were Methodists. Robert was employed as a builder. ^{[4] [5]}

In 1911, Robert, a widower, lived in Grey East, Ontario, Canada with his son, Charles Maxwell Heron, daughter-in-law, Margaret and granddaughter, Margaret (both born in the United States). ^[6]

Robert died on September 1, 1927 in Maxwell Village. The cause of death was senility. His son, Charles, reported the death. Robert was buried in Maxwell Union Cemetery, Maxwell, Grey, Ontario, Canada. ^{[7] [8] [9]}
