Research Notes

The Tyrell family seems to have a conflict of sources, The Visitations of Essex[3] and Buckinghamshire[4] list a different pedigree then Brown, O.F., The Tyrells of England, Phillimore & Co, LTD 1982,[5] and Richardson, Douglas, Magna Carta Ancestry.[6]

Heron-96 and Heron-80 appear to represent the same person because: They have same husband, and birth year, clear duplicate

According to the given dates Margaret died in 1304 yet her son, Walter, was born in 1320. These dates don't work. How does this not raise a red flag regarding date accuracy ?

The birth and death dates for Margaret Heron (Heron-80) are listed as 1294 - 1304. However, I have her listed as having at least one child, so those dates don't seem to add up. I'm completely new to this, so just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction to try to find more accurate dates?

Thanks so much!

This maybe a duplicate of Heron-80. Currently, we are seeking more sources for Margaret, and Walter.

Thank-you Lynne:) Maybe we all should start looking around for more info, then. If we run across secondary sources or, hopefully contemporary sources, let's try to add them:)

I agree with Bree. Something needs corrected in this profile. I think the other Margaret Heron does not belong with this family, and the Walter (her son) doesn't either. The dates do not line up. I believe THIS Margaret (and Walter) to be the correct one, lining up with other dates I have found across the internet.
If the two Margaret's were born in different centuries, this Margaret can't be James wife, unless James is not the son of Hugh. Should this one be disconnected from James, or is there another theory?

Heron-96 and Heron-80 do not represent the same person because: Born in different centuries.
Since Sir James Tyrrell's father, Sir Hugh Tyrrell, was defending Carisbrooke Castle from the French in 1377/8 (Richard III), there's no way Margaret and hubbie James were born during the reign of Edward I. They were probably born closer to the 1350s or maybe even after.
