Biography
George James Heron was born on 17th August, 1908 at Hobart, Tasmania. He was the son of Arthur Eden Heron & Rosina Emily Watson. (1)
in 1944 Arthur worked at Government House as a pantry man and lived on the premises.
On July 4th, 1946 Arthur married Alice Maude Hoblyn. The wedding was held at the Catholic Church, Seaton , in Dover, England. Sir Ernest Clark, former Governor of Tasmania gave the bride away. (2)
They had two daughters:
- Patricia Heron
- Elizabeth Heron
George James Heron passed away on the 28th October, 1985. He was cremated 3 days later at Cornelian Bay Cemetery. His ashes were privately imported. (3)
