Biography

When Bishop Christian Bowman Herr was born on October 31, 1780, in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, his father, Christian, was 48 and his mother, Maria, was 42. He married Anna Barr Forrer on April 8, 1800,^[1] in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They had eight children in 20 years. He died on June 23, 1853, at the age of 72, and was buried in West Lampeter, Pennsylvania.
