Note: I have also seen Mary's last name listed as Herndon. 2 [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 10, Ed. 1, Tree #3552, Date of Import : May 11, 1999]. 2 A note copied by Ida Louise Ryan at some period of time in the period between 1910-1920 states the Old Herndon Mansion still stood in or near Union County, South Carolina. 2 Other family notes include: SIR WILLIAM HERNDON, The Crusader, lived in Kent County, south of London, Cradle of Herndons. Lived there during the reign of Edward III. His land still bears the name of Herndon Hall and is celebrated in England. In 1673 to 1674 WILLIAM HERNDON bought large tracts of land in New Kent County, Virginia.
