  • due to her Jewish ancestry she was no longer allowed to teach in Germany. Thanks to the endorsements of Max Planck & Wolfgang Koehler she was allowed to continue her lab work[2]
  • 1935 emigrated to the UK and continued research at Cambridge University[2]
  • never married or had children[1] and sadly, died alone and in poverty in 1975[2]
