In 1900, Jacob and Katie Hertz were living at W Saylor Street in Chicago. Jacob was the proprietor of a hotel. Living at home were children Fred (28), Jennie (30), Julia (22), John (21), Emilia (18) and Wm (15).[1]

Frederick Hertz and Kathryn Greenbaum were married on October 17, 1905 at Philadelphia.[2]

In 1910, Fred Hertz, wife Kathryn and son Stuart were living on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Fred was a commission man for a china and glass company. They had been married 4 years at the time.[3]

By 1920, Fred was manager of a taxi company. The family (Fred, Kathryn, Stewart and Philip) resided on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.[4]

In 1930 Frederich and Kathryn had moved from their rented home on Michigan Avenue and were owned a 60,000 home on East 49th Street in Chicago. Frederich was now president of a resteraunt. Living at home were sons Stuart and Philip.[5] They were still at the same home in 1940. Son Philip, salesman, remained living at home.[6]
