Merle W. Heskett was born 26 May 1908 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa to Lee Heskett and Carrie Whitcomb.^[1][2][3]

The Hesketts were living at 1231 21st Street, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa in 1910, 1915, 1920, and 1925.^[4][5][6][3]

Merle was living with his parents in 1930 still at 1231 21st Street, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.^[7] He was working as a civil engineer at a publishing company (Lee, his father was also working for a publishing company as the head porter).

By 1940, Merle was married and had children.^[8] The household included Merle and his wife, Berniece; her daughter from a previous union, Maxine M Mansfield; and their children together, Verilea and Merle. They owned their home, which was worth $1000. Merle was working as an engineer at an office building. Merle had earned $1800 during the previous year.

Merle passed away 16 April 1988 in Santa Clara, California.^[2]
