Biography
Llewellyn was born in 1868. He was the son of Jacob Hess and Phebe Briggs. He lived with his parents and brother in Little Mackinaw Township, Tazewell, Illinois in 1870.[1] After the death of his parents, he and his brother lived with their maternal grandparents in Hopedale, Tazewell, Illinois in 1880.[2]
Llewellyn married Nancy E Smith on 18 Dec 1889.[citation needed] They had eight children. They lived in Minier, Tazewell, Illinois in 1900, where Llewellyn was a farmer.[3] By 1910, Llewellyn, now a widower, and his children lived in Venice, Madison, Illinois, where he worked as a carpenter.[4] Llewellyn lived in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California in 1930, where he worked as a clerk in a grocery store.[5]
