Franz himself was called Hess-Spitzer - and seemingly this suffix came from a relative who had endowed the family and supplied money for education. 1

This childless Uncle was very wealthy and gave money to his three nephews Franz Beck , Franz and Heinrich Hess to study providing they took his name. 1

Franz Beck, his close friend was also called Beck-Spitzer [see grave ZF]. survived the war in Shanghai but his much younger non- Jewish wife, Olga stayed in Vienna.

It was Franz Beck who gave Celia a Marie Therese Gold thaler necklace in the late 1950s. 1

Franz Beck ZF T1 is buried together with Theodor died 3 4 1898 and Eugenie 11.5.1922.
