He was united in marriage to Naomi Wisler, daughter of David R. and A. Helen Wisler, on July 14, 1963. After a short time of living in the Lancaster area, they moved to their present home where they resided for 22 years. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized into the Old Order German Baptist Church to which he remained faithful until his death. He peacefully passed away after a long illness, in his home, on Feb. 13, 1987, at the age of 46 years and 9 months. A few days before his passing he was much comforted by the anointing service. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife; 4 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Daniel with his companion, Vonnie, Sheldon, Tommy, and Larry; 2 brothers, Elder Donald L. and Robert L.; and 1 sister, Dorothy Knaus. His quiet, cheerful way touched our lives and endeared him to all. He was always a kind, loving and patient husband and father, and will long be remembered by his family, by the brethren, and his many friends and neighbors. Services were conducted by the home brethren at the Browns Mill meetinghouse on Feb. 16, and his body laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery to await the resurrection call.
