1847 married Dorothea Henkle in Pike County, Ohio.

(Unsure if this is same person, or if he made another trip) Departed from Antwerp, Belgium. Arrived aboard the ship Camellius, in New York City, New York, United States April 29, 1852.

1860 lived with wife and 6 children, in Waverly, Pee Pee Township, Pike County, Ohio. 1860 was a cooper. 1860 owned $500 in real estate and $100 in personal property.

June 1863 lived in Pee Pee Township, Pike County, Ohio (12th Congressional District), registered for Civil War draft. 1863 listed as a grocer.

Cannot find 1870 census records for the family.

1880 lived with wife, Dorothea, and 3 children, in Cuivre Township, Audrain County, Missouri. 1880 was a farmer. 1880 could not write, but could read.
