Robert Hester Jr. performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Robert Hester Jr. is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A065857.

Robert B. Hester was born 20 November 1758 in what was then Granville County and is now Orange and Person County, North Carolina.[1]

Robert married Nancy (McCrary) Hester about 1785 in North Carolina. Nancy was born about 1760 in North Carolina.

Children from this marriage were:

i. William H. "Buck" Hester Sr.-[9432] was born on 27 Jan 1780 in St. Luke District, Early Persons County, North Carolina, died on 5 Oct 1847 in Franklin County, Alabama and was buried in Franklin, Alabama
ii. Henry H. Hester-[16325] was born about 1778 in Granville, North Carolina.
iii. Nicholas H. Hester-[184900] was born about 1782 in Granville, North Carolina
iv. Elijah H. Hester-[9457] was born about 1783 in Grandville County, North Carolina and died on 29 Mar 1872 in Madison County, Mississippi
v. Robert Hester III-[9456] was born Cir 1787.
vi. Sally Hester-[9459] was born Cir 1788 in Granville, North Carolina
vii. Nancy Hester-[9458] was born in 1791 in Persons County, North Carolina and died in Nov 1894 in Persons County, North Carolina

Robert Hester was also the guardian of Martin Daniel, orphan of John Daniel.[2]

He died 22 June 1827 in Roxboro, Person County, North Carolina and is buried in the Hester Cemetery in Person County.[1]

No slaves are mentioned in his probate, suggesting their sale between 1820-27..[4]
