Mrs. Joe Burson, age 98, of Crockett passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in the Winfield Nursing Center. She was born February 4, 1918 in Creek, Texas to parents, Earl Hester, Sr. and Hallie Hallmark Hester. Mrs. Burson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands, L.B. Haley and Cater Burson, Sr.; sons, Joe Haley and Carl Burson; and parents, Earl Hester, Sr. and Hallie Hallmark Hester.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joe Burson will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery.
