Bessie Hester was the daughter of John Hester and Martha Ann Stephens. She had 8 siblings. She was married twice, to "Unknown" Abbott and also to Peter Bradford. According to my mother, Kathryn, (Pendergrass-70), Bessie had no children. My mother found this through taking notes while speaking with family members.
According to her detailed social security history, available through Ancestry.com, she was known as Bessie Lee Clark in November 1973, and became Bessie Bradford in December 1976.
