Biography
- Bessie Hester was the daughter of John Hester and Martha Ann Stephens. She had 8 siblings. She was married twice, to "Unknown" Abbott and also to Peter Bradford. According to my mother, Kathryn, (Pendergrass-70), Bessie had no children. My mother found this through taking notes while speaking with family members.
- According to her detailed social security history, available through Ancestry.com, she was known as Bessie Lee Clark in November 1973, and became Bessie Bradford in December 1976.
