Hi, Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you will run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Sandy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Welcome Thomas.

Hester is one of the names I am following. I am not a direct descendant, however, there are Hesters throughout my maternal line. Those Hesters lived in Alabama from the time the state was formed. Perhaps we can collaborate at some point.

Hello

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Esmé ~ WikiTree Mentor

Glad you Volunteered!

To help you get started, view this introductory WikiTree video.

For a list of Member benefits, see Community Members page.

We also have Mentors who will be glad to answer questions. -Gilly

Researching Hester line through Samuel

Hester (Salem, GA d. 1839) and Hale line through Jessie Hale (Greene Co.,TN, d. 1848). I have substantial data on both lines; need more and willing to share. These two lines both continue in Texas after 1848/1874 respectively
