Biography
Thamasen (a woman with many spellings of her first name) was born to ? Hewes in Massachusetts Bay sometime before June 1641, assuming she was at least 17 at the date of her marriage in May 1658.
Some say Tamazine/Thamasen/Tamazen was the daughter of Lt. Joshua Hewes of Roxbury, Massachusetts, but there is no trace of that in the records of Roxbury, Boston, or Dedham, nor in Eben Putnam's definitive Lieutenant Joshua Hewes, A New England Pioneer and some of His Descendants (1913).
Thamasen evidently did marry Lambert Chenery in Dedham on 14 May 1658.[1]
Tamazin Hewes Genery, wife of Lambert Gennery, died January 2, 1669-70 at Watertown, Massachusetts. [2]
