Samuel Heywood, Esq; of Nottingham was born on the 7th of Feb, 1755. He was baptised by Dr. S. Eaton on the 4th of March, 1755.[1]
Samuel was the town clerk of Nottingham Borough He was also an Attorney-at-Law in Nottingham as well.[1]
Samuel Heywood married Ann Smith daughter of John Smith Mayor of Newark, a market town and parish in the Sherwood and Newark District iof Nottinghamshire. He was mayor in 1763.
Ann was born on the 7th of December, 1752 and died a widow at her son in laws house (Reverend R. Astley of Halifax) on the 5th of Feb, 1825. She was aged 72.[1] Newark-on-Trent or Newark is a market town and civil parish in the Newark and Sherwood district in Nottinghamshire, England
