Vital Records of Eugene Louis Hiatt: Eugene was born in Stockville, Frontier, Nebraska on 18 Feb 1897. He is the fifth child and first son of Lewis Hiatt and Prudence Howe. Eugene married Loiuse "Lottie" (?) sometime before 1923. They had one (known) child together. Margaret Louise b. abt. 1923. (Louis) Eugene died in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon on 7 Oct 1975.^[1]

Census, Military, Land, Court Records and other Historical Artifacts of Eugene Louis Hiatt: In the 1900 Federal Census, Eugene was living in Stockville with his parents and five of his six siblings. Eugene was three at that time.^[2] In the 1910 Federal Census, Eugene was living in Washington, Washington, Oregon with his mother and all of his six siblings. Eugene was then 13 years of age.^[3] In the 1920 Federal Census, Eugene was living in with his mother and step father, "Charlie" Thompson and two of his siblings in Vancouver, Clark, Washington.^[4] In the 1930 Federal Census, (Eugene) Louis was living in Portland with his wife (Louise) "Lottie" and his seven year old daughter, Margaret Louise Hiatt. Louis was 33 and wife Lottie was 31.^[5] In the United States Census of (13 Apr) 1940, (Eugene) Louis was still living in Portland with his wife Lottie and his seventeen year old daughter, Margaret. Louis was 33 at that time.^[6] (Eugene) Louis was a Veteran and had achieved the rank of First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He died in Portland in 1975 and is buried with his wife Lottie in Willamette National Cemetery, Plot: A, 0, 325.^[7]
