Biography

Sarah was born on 12 October 1841 in Church St, Ashton Town, Lancashire, England.[1][2]

On 6 June 1841 Sarah (age 7 months) was living. Manchester, Lancashire, England.[3]

On 30 March 1851 Sarah (age 9) was living. Relation to Head of House: Daughter Droylsden, Lancashire, England.[2]

She married Albert Caddy about 1858.[4]

She died about 1861 aged 19 years old. [5]

Sarah died at the age of 19 on 5 July 1861 in Auckland, New Zealand.[6]

Research Notes

She cannot both have been alive in for the spring 1941 census and born in October 1841. This birth record matches find a grave (mother's maiden name McManus (which corresponds to Daniel Hickey and Mary McManus in 1841 in Ashton-under-Lyne)

Sarah Hickey's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1841 in the Ashton and Oldham district.[7]
