Jane Symes died in 1862, and was the daughter of the first Jonathan Hickman in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. Her husband was John Symes, [1]an Englishman. It is said that he was a son of an Admiral in the British Navy[2]. She was mentioned in her father's will (see Jonathan Hickman for more detail)[3].
