Mary Hickman was born in 1761 at Funkstown, MD.. She married Rev. War soldier, Jonathan Miller, in 1780 at Fayette Co, PA.. She moved with the family from Brownsville, PA to Knox Co. OH in 1814. She died on 19 October 1859 at Mt. Vernon, OH..
Mary, her siblings and their spouses are mentioned in the Breckenridge Co. KY Deed Book D, p. 424. The estate of Charles Hickman settled with with Nicholas Rice (whose wife was also Hickman). Breckenridge Deed Record. The deed mentioned Mary and her husband Jonathan Miller, yielding proof that Mary was daughter of Charles Hickman.
Mary is buried beside her husband in Mound View Cemetery, Knox Co. OH. The Mt Vernon Banner published Mary's tragic death in an obituary.
Mary and Jonathan appear as the grandparents of John K. Miller in a biographical sketch. John Krepps Miller is in "The Twentieth Century Biographical Dictionary of Notable Americans. Mrs. Sara Miller Snee, provided a DAR lineage with Mary's parents as Mathias and Mary Hickman. This appears refuted by the Breckenridge, KY Deed record.

John Hornor, (1750-1819), fitted out at his own expense vessels for the government. He inherited from his father a tract of land where Trenton, New Jersey now stands. He died in Culpeper, Va.
Matthias Hickman, 1776, was commissioned by the Council of Safety of Maryland, ensign in the Flying Camp of Washington county.
