- "Joseph Augustus Newberry, son of William M. Newberry and Mary Eliza Wilkerson was born on 18 Jul 1835 in Mississippi. He died on 22 Nov 1895 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas. He married Susan Elizabeth Logan in 1858 in DeSoto or Cohoma Co., Mississippi. Susan Elizabeth Logan, daughter of James Allison Logan and Sarah Combs Hickman was born on 13 Nov 1838 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. She died on 19 Jun 1890 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas.[1]
