Biography
Robert Hickman was born in Gloucestershire, England.
Robert was born on 30 Nov 1805. He was the son of Robert Hickman and Elizabeth Newton and was baptised at Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire on 18 Feb 1806. [1]
On 13 Dec 1838 he married Hannah Wyatt at Chipping Campden. [2] They had a daughter Elizabeth Susan baptised at Blockley, Worcestershire on 21 June 1840. [3]Sadly, Hannah had died in the previous month.
In the 1841 census, Robert was living with his parents and siblings. His baby daughter Elizabeth was part of the family too. [4]

Robert, aged only 37, died in Feb 1843 and was buried at Chipping Campden on the 16 Feb 1843. He was described in the parish register as being of Broad Campden. [5] According to Elizabeth Susan's much later marriage record, Robert had been a maltster.
