Hi David. I received your request to merge Florene Eldridge Adams. She is my mom so I would like to remain the manager. These 2 do need to be merged. I just do not know yet how to merge them.

Hi David,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your contributions the England Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Hello David!

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Hi David

Thank you for your email about Gedcom upload

I believe it is 5,000 but this can take a while to load also it is a lenghty process to go through the gedcompare

here are a couple of help pages that may be uesful to you

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOM

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Splitting_a_GEDCOM

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOMpare

It is a while since I uploaded my small gedcom I would recommend splitting it into smaller chunks working on those then import anpther one. I use wikix and add one at a time or small batches

see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:WikiTree_X

As a guest you currently have limited access to the site so consider volunteering to grow the tree which is what you are planning to do

Hope this helps

Janet
