Deirdre - I went to enter my 4th GGPs William F Dunham and Sarah Metcalf - and you beat me to it! William is my #1 brick wall. I have lots of data on him - some of it pretty bad. I even have some Hickok data. My line goes through their daughter Louisa. Hoping to compare notes. Also very interested to know if you have done any autosomal DNA tests, as I have. I agree, Deirdre, it is difficult to find information on Native Americans, especially the older, non-extant tribes. However, if I am not mistaken, there are still Wampanoag-descended Indians living in Massachusetts. You could probably find a modern social organization that could direct you in the right direction. Otherwise, try the New England Historical Genealogical Society, as they are the most organized genealogy group in that area.
