Research Notes

The Hickok genealogy quoted above states that Hannah's third husband was:

"Isaac Ingraham of Branford, b. 17 July 1706, son of Timothy Ingraham of Bristol, R.I. (b. 20 January 1664) and his wife, Sarah (b. Boston 1669), dau. of Edward and Sarah (Wilson) Cowell of Bristol, R.I."

and goes on to state they were buried in Branford Connecticut. There is an image of their shared gravestone at FindAGrave Memorial # 9117695 which gives his date of death as 21 Jul 1780 and his age as 69, which gives a dob of 1711.

The Isaac Ingraham (abt.1711-1780) born in 1711 was the son of John Ingraham (1679-1750) & Sarah (Smith) Ingraham (1682-1756). Both "Hickok" and FindAGrave have combined the two - please see Ingraham-477 for more.

I think the statement(left) from Hickcock that Isaac was the son of Timothy and Sarah is wrong, and that that Isaac was married to Eliza, possibly Lindsay, and they had 5 kids or so including Lydia who died within days.

I think Hannah's Isaac was the son of John Ingraham, son of Henry Ingraham-377 and Lydia Dowse. Condarcure shows the descent this way and there is supposed to be a Jacobus article about it that I haven't located yet.

According to "Record of The Bartholomew Family: Historical, Genealogical, Biographical." by George Wells Bartholomew William Bartholomew died Sept 1734. His widow ..."Mrs. Hannah married, third, 15 Apr., 1736, Isaac Ingraham of Branford and had Mary, Sybil, Isaac and Elizabeth Ingraham. She died before the 21 Jan., 1788... "

So it is unlikely Lydia was born in 1733.

Hickock-45 and Hickox-161 appear to represent the same person because: The dates are the same and one has my ancestor's parents, the other his children. There are many spellings: Hickcox, Hickox, Hickcocks, Hitchcock and any other variation you could think of. Hickock-45 was an orphan so I adopted her.
