Silence Hickcox [transcribed as "Silans" and "Silvae" from the record] was born 19 September 1713 in Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut Colony to parents Samuel Hickock and Elizabeth Plumb.[1] She married Captain Abraham Bennett in 1737 in Waterbury.[2] She died 1795 at Minisink, New York.
