[3]The Ballarat Star (Vic. : 1865 - 1924) Sat 4 May 1912 - The marriage took place at the Egerton Methodist Church, on Easter Monday, of Miss Alberta Violet Hicks, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. T. Hicks, of Egerton, and Mr Arthur Ernest Ellery, of Footscray. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. W. Fredericks, of Ballarat. Within the church, the lady friends of the bride had made some fainty and lavish floral decorations. As the guests entered the church they were received by the bride's mother. Upon the bridal party making their appearance, the church organist (Miss Nellie Norton) played the "Wedding March" and the congregation sang the hymn "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden". Over the altar hung the orthodox "Wedding Bell" ..........
