Biography
D. H. Hicks was born in 1797 in North Carolina. He appears to have married at least twice. D. H. had at least one (inferred) daughter by his first marriage--Martha, born 1833 in Georgia. In around 1845 D. H. married Mahala Wyatt in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. [1] In 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. [2]
