Biography
Josiah was born about 1818 in either Virginia or Kentucky. He was the son of Anthony Hicks and Tabitha Maxey.
Josiah married Sally Cox about 1838. They had at least eight known children.
They were living in Cumberland county, Kentucky in 1840.[1] Josiah's household was next to that of his father Anthony's.
They were also in Cumberland, Cumberland, Kentucky in 1850.[2]
They moved to Spring Grove township, Warren county, Illinois by 1860.[3]
By 1870, they were in Grand River, Wayne county, Iowa.[4]
In 1880, they were in Lamine, Cooper, Missouri.[5]
He passed away about 1890.[6]
