He married Byrde Ethyl Gibbs on June 24, 1914 in Freeport, IL. Her birthday is Oct 23, 1886. She was born in Warren also. She died Sept 1, 1961. Walter was a firefighter and a Byrde worked as a seamstress. Both are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Warren. 1
