Biography

In the 1910 census Ethel age 2, was living with her mother Nora Hicks Ethel in the home of her great-grandmother Martha Daniels in Ceredo, West Virginia [1]

She was living with her mother Nora (a widow) and brother McKinley and sister Nellie in the 1920 census for Cabell County, West Virginia.[2]

She married first, Delbert Gibson, son of Alexander Gibson and Elizabeth Earls. He was born 14 Jan 1896 Wayne, West Virginia, died 25 Aug 1963 Cabell County, Huntington, West Virginia.

Ethel, her husband Delbert, several of their children and her mother Nora Hicks were residing at Huntington, West Virginia in 1930. Delbert was working as a laborer on the Steam Railroad.[3]

The 1938 Huntington City Directory shows Delbert Gibson a repairman, and his wife Ethel G., resided at 1649 West Road in Ceredo, West Virginia. [4]

Their family resided on Washington Blvd in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia in 1940.[5]

Mrs. Ethel Gladys Gibson, age 56, born Cabell County, West Virginia married on 6 May 1964 in Cabell County, West Virginia as her second husband Rev. Sheridan Spreaker, 63, born Wayne County, West Virginia and resident of Ceredo, West Virginia . [6]

Ethel G. Spreaker, age 84, died 20 December 1991 in Cabell County, West Virginia.[7][8]
