Daniel Hieb was born on November 24, 1838 in the village of Neudorf in the Glückstal district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia. His parents were Wilhelm Adam Hieb and Margaretha (Kapp) Hieb. Daniel was baptized on November 27, 1838.
On November 30, 1838, as an infant, Daniel passed away in Neudorf.
