Biography

Birth

Barbara was born on September 3, 1847 in the village of Neudorf in the Glückstal district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Michael Hieb (1822-unknown) and Sophia (Wetzler) Hieb (1822-1874). She was the second of their 10 children. Barbara was baptized on September 5, 1847.[1]


Family

On March 1, 1870, at the age of 22, Barbara married Michael Kirschenmann (1842-1927) in Neudorf.[2]

On March 3, 1927, at the age of 79, Barbara passed away in Emery, SD. She is buried in Saint Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in Charles Mix County, SD.[3][4]
