Biography

Zachariah was born July 15, 1811 a son of Eleazor Dent Higdon and Taraca Higdon. Zachariah married Lucinda Higdon, daughter of James Higdon and Elizabeth (Vinson) Higdon. Children fo Zachariah and Lucinda are:

• James E. Higdon, born December 23, 1836, died August 9, 1882, married Tresa Ellen White

• Teresa Ann Higdon, born December 18, 1837, died 1924, married Francis Xavier Higdon

• George Washington Higdon, born March 1843, died September 3, 1913, married Martha Jane White

• Zachariah Higdon, born November 4, 1845, died July 9, 1884, married Henrietta Ellen Hill

• Thomas Augustine Higdon, born 1847, died April 20, 1919, married Susan Hill

• Mary Juletta Hidgon, born June 30, 1851, died February 25, 1924, married Henry Barton Horrell

Zachariah passed away May 2, 1890 and is buried in the Saint Augustine Cemetery, in Clarkson, Grayson County, Kentucky ^[1]
